The issue of farm safety is one that continues to be a large concern, with alarming statistics that show the farming and agriculture sector continue to experience some of the highest rates of work-related injuries and fatalities across the nation.

PIEFA, with funding from the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry, has developed a ready-to-use, easy-to-deliver resource package, focusing on farm safety. Resources specifically target high school students from Years 7-10, looking at ways they can be part of the process and solution to safety issues on farms.

Through a comprehensive, downloadable resource package, the project addresses a range of safety issues on farms, empowering students to become farm safety ambassadors.
